The PM2510 ExcelBand™ Enhanced 3-color Regular Range Protein Marker is a ready-to-use three-color protein standard with 10 pre-stained proteins covering a wide range of molecular weights from 10 to 180 kDa in Tris-Glycine Buffer (9 to 170 kDa in Bis-Tris (MOPS) buffer and 10 to 170 kDa Bis-Tris (MES) buffer). Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25 kDa and 75 kDa respectively) when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-Glycine buffer). Approximately 0.2~0.6 mg/ml of each protein in the buffer (20 mM Tris-phosphate (pH 7.5), 2% SDS, 3.6 M urea, and 15% (v/v) glycerol).

Under suggested conditions, PM2510 ExcelBand™ Enhanced 3-color Regular Range Protein Marker resolves 10 major bands in 15% SDS-PAGE (Tris-Glycine buffer, MOPS, and MES buffer) and after Western blotting to nitrocellulose membrane.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a pathogenic bacterial species belonging to the genus Mycobacterium, and is the causative agent of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis (TB) is a multifaceted disease and challenging public health problem in both industrialized and developing countries. According to the WHO, 8.8 million active cases of TB are diagnosed each year and of these, almost 2 million die. Once thought to be under control or even close to extinction, TB infection levels are rising and the threat is compounded by new, virulent and drug-resistant strains. Although most cases occur in the developing world (22 countries accounting for 80% of all global cases), increasing population mobility combined with facility of transmission means that no country is immune from the resurgence of TB. TB control programs are currently facing a number of constraints. Worldwide, fewer than 25% of all tuberculosis cases are detected. Of utmost concern is the absence of a timely and accurate test for the diagnosis of mycobacterial disease. Early diagnosis is crucial for the prevention of further spread of the disease.
Storage Conditions and Product Stability All kit components can be stored for 2 years after the date of production without showing any reduction in performance.
All kit components should be stored at -20°C upon arrival. Repeated thawing and freezing (> 2 x) of the Master Mix and Positive Control should be avoided, as this may affect the performance of the assay. If the reagents are to be used only intermittently, they should be frozen in aliquots.

Adsorption Mechanism
Based on the negatively charged DNA skeleton, it has a high affinity for positively charged glass fibers. In high salt and ethanol solutions, DNA/RNA binds to glass fiber and interacts with hydrophilic matrix on silica through hydrogen bond. DNA/RNA is tightly bound. All pollutants can be removed by washing solution. At high salt concentration, nucleic acids selectively bind to silica gel membrane, while other pollutants, mainly proteins, are removed by membrane washing.
