Principle
The CleanSeq method contains magnetic particles in an optimized binding buffer to selectively capture sequencing extension products. The protocol can be performed directly in the thermal cycling plate. Unincorporated dyes, nucleotides, salts and contaminants are removed using a simple washing procedure. The purification procedure is amenable to a variety of automation platforms since it requires no centrifugation or vacuum filtration.
Advantages
High recovery – up to 90%
High throughput – using magnetic beads purification technology
CleanSeq Beads should be stored at 2-8°C upon arrival and is stable up to 6 months under the condition. However, short-term storage (up to 12 weeks) at room temperature (15-25°C) does not affect its performance. Mix CleanSeq Beads well before using. The reagent should appear homogenous and consistent in color.
DO NOT FREEZE.

Purification is based on spin column chromatography that uses Norgen’s proprietary resin separation matrix
Norgen’s FFPE RNA Purification Kits provide a rapid method for the isolation and purification of total RNA (including microRNA) from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples in as little as 1 hour. Using formalin to fix tissues leads to crosslinking of the RNA and proteins, and the process of embedding the tissue samples can also lead to fragmentation of the RNA over time. Norgen’s FFPE RNA Purification Kits provide conditions that allow for the partial reversing of the formalin modifications, resulting in a high quality and yield of RNA. These kits are able to purify all sizes of RNA, from large mRNA and ribosomal RNA down to microRNA (miRNA) and small interfering RNA (siRNA), depending on the age of the FFPE tissue as fragmentation of the RNA is known to occur over time. The RNA is preferentially purified from other cellular components without the use of phenol or chloroform.
FFPE RNA Purification Kit (Spin Column)
Maximum loading volume of 650 μL per column, and a maximum binding capacity of 50 μg per column.
Purification is based on 96-well column chromatography using Norgen’s proprietary resin as the separation matrix. Purification can be performed using either a vacuum manifold or centrifugation. Maximum loading volume of 400 μL per well, and a maximum binding capacity of 50 μg per well.
5 slices of < 20 µm thick paraffin slices 25 mg of unsectioned block
Average Yield
Variable due to age of paraffin blocks ~2-3 µg of Total RNA per 1 mg of fresh FFPE hamster kidney
* Time required for purification varies by length of Proteinase K incubation and formalin crosslink-reversal
Storage Conditions and Product Stability All solutions should be kept tightly sealed and stored at room temperature. The DNAse I and Proteinase K should be stored at -20°C upon arrival. This kit is stable for 1 year from the date of shipment.
High yield and high purity DNA ready for any application
Available in a variety of formats to properly suit your needs
Compatible with blood collected on a variety of commercially available tubes
These kits allow for the isolation of DNA from the blood of various species, including humans and will recover genomic DNA, mitochondrial DNA, viral DNA and bacterial DNA. The purified DNA is of excellent quality and yield and completely compatible with any downstream application including PCR, qPCR and genotyping.
Blood DNA Isolation Mini Kit
Norgen’s Blood DNA Isolation Mini Kit is designed for the rapid preparation of DNA from up to 200 µL of whole blood using a rapid spin column protocol. Preparation time for a single sample is less than 30 minutes and each kit contains sufficient materials for 50 preparations.
Blood DNA Isolation Midi Kit
Norgen’s Blood DNA Isolation Kit is designed for the rapid spin column preparation of DNA from 0.3 to 2 mL volumes of whole blood. Preparation time for a single sample is less than 30 minutes, and each kit contains sufficient materials for 20 preparations.

Blood DNA Isolation 96-Well Kit (High Throughput)
This kit provides a rapid method for the high-throughput isolation of DNA from up to 200 µL of whole blood. Fast and easy processing using either a vacuum manifold or centrifugation.
Blood DNA Isolation Kit (Magnetic Bead System)
Norgen’s Blood DNA Isolation Kit (Magnetic Bead System) is designed for the rapid preparation of genomic DNA from up to 200 µL of whole blood from various species, including human. Purification is based on magnetic beads as the separation matrix. Norgen’s magnetic beads bind DNA under optimized salt concentrations and releases the bound DNA under low salt and slightly alkali conditions. The genomic DNA is preferentially purified from other cellular proteinaceous components. Typical yields of genomic DNA will vary depending on the cell density of the blood sample. The purified genomic DNA is fully digestible with all restriction enzymes tested, and is completely compatible with downstream applications including real-time PCR, NGS and microarray analysis.
Blood DNA Isolation 96-Well Kit (High Throughput Magnetic Bead System)
96-well format for high throughput applications. Purification with the 96-well plates can be integrated with a robotic automation system.
