Overview
Perforated heat sealing film which is optically clear. This seal has 3 mm slits for gas transfer; is suitable for insect studies and seed storage too.
Heat sealing is a quick and cost effective method of plate sealing
Our ClearASeal Perf Heat Seal is based on our ClearASeal Peel, with the addition of 3 mm slits across the width of the seal
These slits render the seal gas permeable, whilst retaining evaporation to a minimum, compared to the use of lids
The ClearASeal Perf Heat Seal is compatible with polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene and cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) plates
The Seal has a wide seal integrity temperature range, from -80 °C to 110 °C
It can be used for insect and seed storage, as it enables gas exchange, whilst providing an inert surface with no adhesive to interfere with the well contents
This seal is available as sheets, for use with manual and semi-automated sealers, such as our HeatASeal 500 Sealing Machine
Also available in roll format compatible with specified automated heat sealers, such as our Wasp or Chameleon XT

Overview
Quantified standard to be used as a positive control or PCR quantification standard
Vigorously quantified using multiple methods
Listeria monocytogenes has emerged as a significant foodborne pathogen that poses a serious public health problem. As the causative agent of Listeriosis, L. monocytogenes has the highest rate of fatality among all foodborne pathogens. L. monocytogenes is a facultatively intracellular, Gram-positive bacterium. Due to its ability to survive high and low temperatures as well as low pH, it could resist various food processing technologies, as well as grow at food storage temperatures. L. monocytogenes is known to be associated with raw meat, unpasteurized milk and dairy products, vegetables, and seafood. As little as 1000 organisms may cause the disease with pregnant, new-born, and immunocompromised individuals being the most susceptible.
Norgen’s Listeria monocytogenes Quantified Bacterial DNA Standard is prepared from cultured bacteria using Norgen’s sample preparation technology. The purified DNA is quantified vigorously using multiple methods including spectrophotometry, gel densitometry and real-time PCR. It is intended to be used as a positive control or PCR quantification standard for Listeria monocytogenes.
Upon receipt, store Norgen’s Listeria monocytogenes Quantified Bacterial DNA Standard at -20oC or lower. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycle. If needed, prepare smaller working aliquots and store at -20oC or lower.

Overview
CE-IVDR marked in accordance with the European Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2017/746.
Ideal for use in in vitro workflows
No need to immediately process samples
Nucleic acid preservation at room temperature over 2 years for DNA and 7 days for RNA
Ship stool samples at room temperature safely
Compatible with most DNA/RNA isolation methods
Norgen’s Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation Devices Dx are designed for the collection and preservation of nucleic acids from fresh stool specimens. The Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation Devices Dx – 50 contains 50 individual Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation Devices Dx. Each Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation Device Dx consists of Norgen’s Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation Tube Dx containing Norgen’s Stool Preservative in a liquid format. The user simply collects stool into the tubes (fill up to the line indicated on the tube) and mixes gently until the stool is well submerged under the preservative. The Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation Tube Dx is subsequently sent to the laboratory for DNA and/or RNA isolation and analysis. The stool DNA in preserved samples is stable for more than 2 years at room temperature, and the stool RNA in preserved samples is stable for 7 days at room temperature. DNA can be isolated from the preserved stool samples using Norgen’s Stool DNA Isolation Kit Dx (Cat. Dx27600) and RNA can be isolated from the preserved stool samples using Norgen’s Stool Total RNA Purification Kit Dx (Cat. Dx49500). These tubes are ideal for collecting and preserving DNA and RNA samples for in vitro diagnostic use for medical purposes.

Bind and elute all RNA irrespective of size or GC content, without bias
Concentrate circulating RNA and exosomal RNA into a flexible elution volume
High quality, purified RNA is suitable for a variety of downstream applications, including Small RNA Sequencing. Find out more information on Norgen’s NGS services
Compatible with Streck Cell-Free RNA BCT® Tubes
Purification is based on spin column chromatography that uses Norgen’s proprietary resin separation matrix
These kits provide a fast, reliable and convenient method to purify and concentrate high quality, high purity and inhibitor-free cell-free circulating and exosomal RNA using a convenient spin column method. These kits can purify RNA from fresh or frozen serum or plasma samples prepared from blood collected on either EDTA or Citrate. Plasma samples prepared from blood collected on heparin should not be used, as heparin can significantly interfere with many downstream applications such as RT-PCR. The purified plasma/serum RNA is fully compatible with all downstream applications including PCR, qPCR, methylation-sensitive reverse transcription qPCR, reverse transcription PCR, Northern blotting, RNase protection and primer extension, expression array assays, and NGS.
Background
Plasma/Serum cell-free circulating RNA or exosomal RNA has the potential to provide biomarkers for certain cancers and disease states. Exosomes are 40 – 150 nm membrane vesicles, which are secreted by most cell types. Exosomes can be found in saliva, blood, urine, amniotic fluid and malignant ascitic fluids, among other biological fluids. Evidence has been accumulating recently that these vesicles act as cellular messengers, conveying information to distant cells and tissues within the body. These exosomes may play a functional role in mediating adaptive immune responses to infectious agents and tumours, tissue repair, neural communication and transfer of pathogenic proteins. For this reason exosomal RNAs may serve as biomarkers for various diseases including cancer. As the RNA molecules encapsulated within exosomes are protected from degradation by RNAses they can be efficiently recovered from biological fluids, such as plasma or serum.
Plasma/Serum RNA Purification Mini Kit
This kit can purify RNA from fresh or frozen serum or plasma samples prepared from blood collected on either EDTA or Citrate, from volumes ranging from 50 µL to 200 µL. The purified plasma/serum RNA is eluted in a flexible final volume of 10 µL to 25 µL.
Plasma/Serum RNA Purification Midi Kit
This utilizes a two column method, and can purify RNA from fresh or frozen serum or plasma samples prepared from blood collected on either EDTA or Citrate, from volumes ranging from 250 µL to 1.5 mL. The first column will handle the large volume input of bodily fluids that is followed by a concentration on a mini column for a final elution of 50 µL to 100 µL.
Plasma/Serum RNA Purification Maxi Kit
