Description
Q-PAGE™ Bis-Tris Precast Gel is a high-performance and easy to use precast polyacrylamide gel for electrophoresis in Bis-Tris buffer system (MOPS or MES). The optimized gel formula allows Q-PAGE™ Bis-Tris Precast Gel to show improved resolution, accurate results, and an extended shelf-life over conventional Laemmli Tris-HCl gels.
Q-PAGE™ Bis-Tris Precast Gels are available in gradient (4 to 12%) and fixed (8% and 12%) concentrations of polyacrylamide in 12-and 15-well formats. Two available cassette sizes, Mini (10 x 8.3 cm) and Midi (10 x 10 cm), are compatible with most popular protein electrophoresis systems. Q-PAGE™ Mini (QP2XXX) Gels are suitable for Bio-Rad® and other systems. Q-PAGE™ Midi (QP3XXX) Gels are suitable for Invitrogen® XCell SureLock® Mini-Cell, Invitrogen® Mini Gel Tank, Hoefer SE260, and other systems.
Key Features

Giardiasis is a disease of the small bowel caused by the protozoan parasite Giardia intestinalis (syn.duodenalis or lamblia). Giardia is one of the most common intestinal parasites in the world, and occurs at very high prevalence rates in places with poor water sanitation. Individuals become infected through ingesting or coming into contact with contaminated water, food or soil. It can also be spread through the faecal-oral route due to poor hygiene practices, which makes it common in day-care centers. G. intestinalis lives inside the intestines of infected humans or other animals including cats, dogs, birds, cows, beaver and deer. Symptoms of infection include diarrhea, malaise, excessive gas, bloating, nausea, diminished interest in food, possible vomiting and weight loss.

Storage Conditions
The Giardia intestinalis TaqMan RT-PCR Kit Dx is shipped on dry ice. The components of the kit should be frozen upon arrival. If one or more of the components is not frozen when the kit is received, or if any of the components have been compromised during shipment, please contact Norgen Biotek for assistance. All kit components should be stored at -20°C upon arrival. Repeated thawing and freezing (> 3 x) of the Master Mix and Positive Control should be avoided, as this may affect the performance of the assay. If the reagents are to be used only intermittently, they should be frozen in aliquots.

PAX-5 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors, which are key regulators in early development. The PAX-5 gene encodes the B-cell lineage specific activator protein (BSAP), whose expression is limited to early stages of B-cell differentiation. Anti-PAX-5 is useful in differentiating between classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma versus multiple myeloma and solitary plasmacytoma, as the protein is expressed in mature and precursor B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas/leukemias while being absent from the other two conditions. Diffuse large B-cell lymphomas are positive for PAX-5, with the exception of those with terminal B-cell differentiation, and T-cell neoplasms do not stain with Anti-PAX-5.
