Nucleic acid testing (NAT) is the method of choice for detection and quantification of a wide range of micro organisms. Primerdesign manufactures and supplies high quality quantitative real-time PCR kits for the detection and simultaneous quantification of numerous significant pathogens . A copy number standard curve is provided for quantification and an the internal extraction template (DNA or RNA), controls for the quality of the nucleic acid extraction and eliminates false negative results.

Target sequences are selected by working with data from key opinion leaders in the field. Introduction

This product is suitable for rapid extraction of DNA from FFPE sample, tissue, cells, blood, swabs, blood spots, semen and other clinical samples. This product uses size selection magnetic beads, which can selectively remove small sizes of DNA (100-300bp) from FFPE samples by adjusting the amount of binding solution, so as to improve the effective data volume of downstream NGS.

Principle

This product is based on the purification method of high binding magnetic particles. The sample is lysed and digested under the action of lysate and Protease. DNA is released into the lysate. After adding magnetic particles and binding solution, DNA will be adsorbed on the surface of magnetic particles, and impurities such as proteins will be removed without adsorption. The adsorbed particles were washed with washing solution to remove proteins and impurities, washed with ethanol to remove salts, and finally DNA was eluted by Elution Buffer.

Storage and Stability

RNase A, Proteinase K and MagBind Particles should be stored at 2-8°C upon arrival. However, short-term storage (up to 12 weeks) at room temperature (15-25°C) does not affect their performance. The remaining kit components can be stored at room temperature (15-25°C) and are stable for at least 18 months under these conditions.

Norgen’s Urine Preservative is designed for the rapid preservation of DNA, RNA, microRNA and proteins from fresh urine samples. In addition, the Urine Preservative eliminates the need to immediately process or freeze samples and allows the samples to be shipped to centralized testing facilities at ambient temperatures. The components of the Urine Preservative allow samples to be stored for over 2 years at room temperature with no detected degradation of urine DNA, RNA or proteins.

1.  Urine Preservative Single Dose Ampules
With this product Norgen’s Urine Preservative is supplied in a liquid format in single dose ampules. The user simply collects 5 – 50 mL of urine into a urine collection container and adds the contents of the Urine Preservative Single Dose (Cat# 18126). The urine and preservative are then mixed, and the urine nucleic acids and proteins are preserved at room temperature.

2.  Urine Collection and Preservation Tubes
Norgen’s Urine Preservative is also available in a dried format in Norgen’s Urine Collection and Preservation Tubes. The user simply collects urine into the tubes and mixes gently until the orange preservative pellet in the tube has dissolved. Norgen’s Urine Collection and Preservation Tubes are available in 3 convenient sizes:

• 5 cc tubes, 1 – 5 mL of urine
• 15 cc tubes, 5 – 15 mL of urine
• 50 cc tubes, 5 – 45 mL of urine

Storage Conditions and Product Stability
