Cadmium contamination is a serious worldwide environmental problem. As it is difficult to detoxify by chemical or biological methods, gradual Cadmium accumulation in the nervous and cardiovascular systems of the human body can subsequently cause serious diseases. Long-term health consequences of drinking cadmium-contaminated food and water include numerous negative health effects. Attogene’s Cadmium Lateral Flow test gives results conforming of 5ppb or greater.
Arginase-1, encoded by the ARG1 gene, is a cytosolic metalloenzyme expressed predominantly in hepatocytes which plays a key role in the urea cycle by catalyzing the hydrolysis of arginine to ornithine and urea. Argininemia is an inherited autosomal recessive disorder characterized by a buildup of arginine and ammonia in the blood. Anti-Arginase-1 is highly specific for hepatocytes, and is therefore a sensitive and specific marker of benign and malignant hepatic tumors.
Nucleic acid testing (NAT) is the method of choice for detection and quantification of a wide range of micro organisms.
