Norgen’s RNA purification kits isolate total RNA with minimal amounts of genomic DNA contamination. However, for some sensitive downstream applications, it may be desirable to remove all traces of residual DNA. Norgen’s RNase-free DNAse I Kit, with Enzyme Incubation Buffer, can be used for optional on-column DNase digestion with any of Norgen’s RNA purification kits. Alternatively, after isolating total RNA using one of Norgen’s RNA purification kits, the RNA elution can be treated with this DNase I. The RNA can then be purified from the DNase using Norgen’s RNA Clean-Up and Concentration Kit (Cat# 23600), and the RNA can then be used in downstream applications.
Details
Each RNase-Free DNase I Kit is supplied complete with sufficient enzyme and enzyme incubation buffer for 50 or 200 reactions.
Storage Conditions The DNase I provided is in lyophilized form. It is stable for at least 3 months if stored at room temperature. However, it is recommended to store the DNase I vial at 2 – 8ºC (or below) upon receipt to maintain stability beyond 3 months. Buffer DR and Enzyme Incubation Buffer can be stored at room temperature. After reconstitution with Buffer DR (see product manual), the DNase I should be stored at -20ºC. All reagents should remain stable for at least 1 year in their unopened containers at the appropriate storage temperature.

Highly Sensitive, rapid, robust screening kit for sample phosphatase activity.
For plate-based colorimetric enzymatic determination of alkaline phosphatase:
Distributed in almost every tissue of the body, serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels are of interest in the testing for hepatobiliary disorder and bone disease. Most of the ALP in the normal adult serum is from the liver or biliary tract. Normal alkaline phosphatase levels are age-dependent and are elevated during periods of active bone growth. Moderate elevations of ALP (not involving the liver or bone) may be attributed to Hodgkin’s disease, congestive heart failure, and abdominal bacterial infections.
Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate esters in an alkaline environment, resulting in the formation of an organic radical and inorganic phosphate. In mammals, this enzyme is found mainly in the liver and bones. Marked increase in serum ALP levels, a disease known as hyperalkalinephosphatasemia, has been associated with malignant biliary obstruction, primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, hepatic lymphoma, and sarcoidosis.
The kit contains sufficient materials to rapidly test 42 samples in duplicate.

Heat sealing offers a 100% effective method of plate sealing, for complete seal integrity, as well as being quick and cost effective.
Our Individual Access Peel Heat Seal is a laminate seal compatible with polypropylene plates, featuring 96 individual foil seal spots or 12 strips of individual spots on a removable backing.
These seals result in individually sealed tubes/strips, and they can be removed from polypropylene plates by peeling, even with a plate which has been removed directly from -80°C storage.
Individual Access Peel Heat Seal forms a complete seal to a plate enabling very low temperature uses, including very low temperature storage, and high temperature uses, such as PCR (when used with a pressurized heated lid).
The seal demonstrates moderate solvent resistance and can be utilized for short term compound storage at room temperature.
This seal is available as sheets, for use with manual and semi-automated sealers, such as our Semi-Automated Sheet Heat Sealer (using the 59-2005 Individual Access adapter).

The HiPure Plant RNA Midi Kit provides fast purification of high-quality RNA from plants, cell, tissues, and yeast using silica-membrane spin columns with a binding capacity of 1mg RNA. There is no need for phenol / chloroform extractions and time-consuming steps such as CsCl gradient ultracentrifugation or precipitation with isopropanol or LiCl. RNA purified using the RaPure Total RNA Purification System can be used for applications such as RT-PCR, Northern blotting, poly A+ RNA (mRNA) purification, nuclease protection, and in vitro translation.

Principle
The Kit isolates total RNA from up to 1g plant tissue. A short workflow enables RNA isolation with genomic DNA removal in less than 40 min. Samples are first lysed and homogenized. The lysate is passed through a DNA Mini column, ethanol is added to the flow-through, and the sample is applied to a RNA column. RNA binds to the membrane and contaminants are washed away. High-quality RNA is eluted in as little as 400µl water using the Kit.
Advantages
Efficient removal of DNA – unique genomic DNA removal column without DNase treatment
High quality – high purity total RNA can be directly used in various sensitive downstream applications
Fast – medium isolation of several samples can be completed in 40 minutes
Safe – no phenol chloroform extraction required
Sensitive – RNA can be recovered at the level of PG
Broad spectrum – various types of plant samples can be processed by diversity of operating procedures

Storage and Stability
The Kit can be stored dry at room temperature (15-25°C) and are stable for at least 18 months under these conditions. Make sure that all buffers are at room temperature when used. During shipment, crystals or precipitation may form in the Buffer RLC/PRC1. Dissolve by warming buffer to 37°C.
Purchase Guide
1. When dealing with woody or uncommon samples, R4150 is recommended first. R4150 contains two polysaccharide/polyphenol lysis buffer, which is the most universal product.
2. R4151 is recommended for handling common economic crop samples for the first time. Strong lysis solution can be used to process easy-extraction samples. The amount of corn or rice leaves samples can reach up to 300mg.
3. R4165 adopts CTAB/chloroform method, which can also handle a large number of difficult-to-extraction plants, but requires contact with chloroform substitutes, which is less safe than other kits. This kit uses DNase Ⅰ to remove DNA, which is also a good choice for extracting polysaccharide/polyphenol-rich plant samples.
4. R4014 is recommended for fruit/starch plant samples, which uses improved trizol pre-treatment, single column operation and is more economical.
