Thymidylate Synthase (TS) is a crucial enzyme responsible for the synthesis of 2′-deoxythymidine-5′-monophosphate (dTMP) a precursor for thymidylate which is necessary for DNA replication and repair from 2′-deoxyuridine-5′-monophosphate (dUMP).
